Murphy is a handsome young black gentlemen who's dying to find an owner with the savvy and patience to bring out his inner lap cat. He shows his true nature by letting you pet him at feeding time, and he silently begs for more by sitting or running just out of reach. He submits easily to being picked up and held for short periods, suggesting that if you can show him it's safe he'll stay forever. Although he does well with other cats, he can be dominant with them at times. He'd probably do well with a smaller or more submissive companion, or with a loving dog. Because Murphy's quite shy right now, he's not a candidate for living with children younger than teenagers, and even they will have to exercise extreme patience to help him blossom and grow.
