A former street cat, Alaska has come a long way. He loves to be around his people although he keeps his distance and runs to hide when things seem off. He might allow you to pet him after time and trust - but only on his terms. Alaska is a "Gentle Ben" type of cat. He would make a wonderful garden pet for someone who can give him thoughtfully passive attention so he feels safe. He needs a caring guardian with a lovely outdoor space where he can sun and nap. He does not relate well to dogs. Rescued from the San Leandro Marina where he was dumped as a kitten. We estimate he was born in 1999. Bio #1459 CC
